Macdonald Consultancy undertake estimates for all aspects of FM including planned maintenance, reactive maintenance and life cycle works. Whether clients require this service to calculate pre-tender estimates, to benchmark their spend against the market or to support a bid for a PPP or a traditional FM opportunity.

Macdonald Consultancy undertakes asset audits and compiles asset registers for a variety of purposes including CMMS uploads, to help bidders scope their maintenance obligations, populate the CAMS life cycle modelling tool, assist with maintenance planning and to help clients on the journey towards ISO 55000 compliance. Macdonald Consultancy condition surveys also provide the basis of schedules of dilapidation and assist with benchmarking asset condition upon Practical Completion and at the end of the Defects Liability Period.

Macdonald Consultancy deliver life cycle modelling using the CAMS tool to forecast the degradation of assets in situ over time. This enables clients to make informed decisions about when to budget for asset replacement as well as develop asset management strategies (for example, replacement versus refurbishment). This also assists with the master planning of sites and portfolios, as well as informs business cases to forecast the impacts of changes to a facility from a whole of life cost point of view.

Macdonald Consultancy work with clients to review their current approach to FM and how well it is currently supporting core business, to identify a best practice position for FM provision and to identify a roadmap to shift from the current position to the recommended position. Key components include stakeholder surveys, document reviews, market research, options analysis and implementation plans.
